Rise & Shine – Vintage Kintsugi Mug in Black A One-of-a-kind | Repaired with Urushi Lacquer | 23k Gold Finish | Food Safe
Description
Did you know that 95% of kintsugi sellers use "glue" and finish with "gold-colored powder" — or sometimes "glue and finish with lacquer with real gold" — and still market it as authentic kintsugi art?
My kintsugi art is made with lacquer from beginning to end. I never use glue.
I only use real gold, silver, platinum or copper. That means every piece I make is 100% food-safe — just like the +400 years old traditional method.
What is Kintsugi?
Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art form that involves repairing broken pottery with a special lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum. Kintsugi is the philosophy of celebrating the flaws and imperfections of something that was once broken, transforming it into a stronger and more beautiful work of art through repair and history.
Rise & Shine Collection
Every morning holds a new beginning.
Our Rise & Shine Kintsugi mugs are created for everyday use—quiet companions to your first sip of the day. Each golden line traces a part of your journey, like a map of the moments that shaped you.
Rather than hiding the cracks, we honor them. The gold becomes a sunrise of its own, reminding you how far you’ve come, how much you’ve grown, and how beautifully your story continues.
With every warm cup held between your hands, may you feel grounded, encouraged, and ready to rise—again and again.
